Key Objectives
Provide Metallurgical Support to Projects, identifying Materials Risks at proposal stage and providing project estimates. Ensure that material procurement and fabrication by Doosan teams or sub-contractors complies with agreed project and company requirements.Main Activities (main day-to-day activities and the outputs of the role the individual is expected to deliver)
· Provide support and supervision of metallurgical inputs to company manufacturing projects and enquiries.
· Provide general metallurgical technical advice.
· Preparation and issue of tenders to clients.
· Ensure through effective project process control that client and company procedures are adhered to.
· Write reports and technical documents
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge and Skill
· Ordinary Degree or equivalent in Materials, Metallurgy or Welding (essential) Honours degree or Masters in Materials, Metallurgy or Welding (preferred)
· Chartered Engineer e.g. IOM3, TWI (preferred)
· Good expertise in Metallurgy and applicable codes and standards (essential) Excellent expertise in Metallurgy and applicable codes and standards (preferred)
· Basic Awareness of Power Plant & Oil and Gas plant operations and construction (essential) Excellent knowledge of Power Plant & Oil and Gas plant operations and construction (preferred)
· Some experience in project metallurgy and welding to a level typically gained in the first year after graduation (essential) Participation in a number of minor projects and at least one major project as project Metallurgist/Welding Engineer (preferred).

Key Accountabilities
· To provide expertise in the field of welding/fabrication analysis involving metallurgical investigation in support of the company’s spares manufacturing & power project activities
· To provide support and expertise, with respect to metallurgical inputs, to the company’s manufacturing and spares projects and enquiries, with reference to Technical Specification and Code requirements.
· To provide expert technical support in the field of metallurgical failure investigations and other metallurgical functions as the department business requires
