We are seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for a landmark energy infrastructure modernization project in Corsica.
This role ensures adherence to environmental principles, company ESG policies, and local regulations.
TasksAs an Environmental Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Overseeing environmental compliance and ensuring activities align with company HSE policies.
- Preparing and monitoring the Environmental Management Plan and associated procedures.
- Liaising with local and national regulatory bodies on permitting and compliance matters.
- Ensuring proper waste collection, transport, and disposal according to local regulations and project policies.
- Coordinating environmental incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
- Developing and implementing programs for continuous environmental performance improvement.
- Providing environmental training to emergency response teams, including oil spill preparedness.
- Supporting the construction team with environmental monitoring and best practices.
To excel in this role, candidates must have:
- Fluency in French (mandatory) and professional proficiency in English.
- A recognized qualification in Environmental Management (e.g., IEMA, ISO 14001) with an engineering background preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in the oil and energy industry, including 5 years in an environmental coordination role.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting processes and incident analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
- Proficiency in business software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
