The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi (AKA, Nairobi) is an IB continuum school in Kenya authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate curriculum (IB) from Early Years through to Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). With over 1000 students, AKA, Nairobi is a multi-cultural school with a variety of nationalities represented in our student and teaching faculty.
The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi - Senior School has an opening for the position of IB Science Teacher – Biology/ESS Teacher.
Role Summary
As a Science teacher you will be expected to deliver lessons that reflect the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (IB) curriculum at Aga Khan Academy Senior School, employ a variety of approaches and methodologies in teaching and instructing students, including an inquiry-based approach and differentiation strategies in the classroom; establish and maintain standards of student behaviour and approaches to learning; monitor, assess, support and report on student progress; collaborate with the Science Department Team and other staff; and effectively communicate with parents/guardians, along with the whole school community.

Bachelor of Education Science or an equivalent in the respective field. TSC Certification. 5 years of IB Middle Years Programme and/or IB Diploma.
