Discover your exciting roleAs part of its development, Exyte France is seeking a Construction Economist (M/F). Attached to the 'Project Controls' department, you will actively participate in the measurements and cost estimation of industrial building projects. You will be involved in constructing buildings for automotive batteries, semiconductors, pharmaceutical clean rooms, or data centers. As your scope covers the whole of France, short but frequent trips are to be expected.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesResponsibilities:- Analyze studies provided by the Project Management Office (PMO): preliminary and definitive designs APS/APD, specific technical specifications CCTP, and company consultation documents DCE.
- Study technical specifications, calculation notes, and graphical representations (plans, diagrams, sections, elevations, perspectives).
- Conduct economic studies: estimate the preliminary budget (labor and subcontracting: execution time, average hourly rate THM, materials, and supplies: prices).
- Communicate an estimate of the overall construction cost.
- Analyze studies and detailed execution plans of the PMO's work: evaluate and quantify operations, broken down by expense item.
- Propose and estimate technical adaptations: construction methods, variants, alternative materials, and equipment.
- Participate in the project's financial projection and supplier consultations.
- Analyze the relevance of their service offer files concerning the DCE, verify quotes.
- Compare applications, negotiate prices.
- Education level: Bac +2/3, with at least 8 years of experience in a similar position with a general contractor or major construction company.
- Rigorous, with a good sense of numbers and attention to detail.
- Good listener with strong writing skills and a sense of synthesis.
- Able to work in project mode, enjoy teamwork, and be autonomous.
- Desired English level: B2 (intermediate).
- Non-EU candidates must be proficient in French and possess a multi-year residence permit.
- A driving license (B) is required.
