Job Purpose
Responsible for providing expert cloud and infrastructure architecture support for TechnipFMC as part of the Enterprise Architecture team. Responsible for the vision and definition of the solution architecture, its refinement, and realization according to the business requirements and goals. Candidates in the role are expected to lead technical teams and interface directly with support teams and management.
Job Description
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and developing cloud-based, hybrid and on-premises solutions for the organization across multiple platforms. This includes working with stakeholders to understand their needs, designing and building cloud-based applications and managing the cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Infrastructure Architect must have a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code and on-premises infrastructure such as compute and storage technologies.
Design and develop cloud-based solutions for the organization. Creating/supporting a well-informed cloud infrastructure strategy and managing the adaptation process Evaluating cloud applications, hardware, and software Developing and organizing cloud infrastructure Work closely with cyber security to ensure the organization’s cloud security integrity is maintained. Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner. Vet and select cloud providers, cloud technologies and associated third-party services Maintain knowledge of technology developments to support definition of technology roadmaps Ensure smooth hand over to operations for assigned applications or services Ensure effective user support, training sessions, versioning and enhancement management are in placeYou are meant for this job if:
Proven work experience in Cloud Infrastructure or similar role. Proven experience with both AWS and Azure workloads. Experience of traditional on-premises storage and compute infrastructure environments Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners Relevant training and/or certifications essentialAdditional Skills
Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
