Summary

 

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Compliance Officer.  This role encompasses a wide variety of different businesses. While CP Kelco is mainly a food additive company, we are looking for innovative new markets like consumer care, industrial applications, and the broad field of agriculture. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with national and international regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulations, and providing strategic guidance on regulatory matters to support product innovation and development. This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, implement, and manage regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Monitor changes in relevant regulatory environments, interpret new and existing regulations, and communicate potential impacts to key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory matters related to product development, labeling, marketing, and distribution.
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documents, applications, and reports to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure compliance in product design, development, and launch.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in industry associations to represent the company's interests and stay informed of regulatory trends.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance management system, including policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams to foster a culture of compliance and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Law, or Agriculture; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or related fields, with a focus on consumer care or agricultural industries.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and requirements 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
