About the Role

As a  Project Buyer , you will play a pivotal role in our N&H Systems business by directing, planning, and coordinating the purchase of materials, supplies, and services. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing price, delivery, and terms, supporting our Proposals Team during bid stages and Project execution, ensuring the success of our projects.

About Your Responsibilities

Prepare bid requests, review requisitions, and collaborate with vendors to obtain essential product/service information. Plan and coordinate buying for projects in collaboration with works preparation and project management teams. Represent and validate Supply Chain elements in project kick-off meetings, emphasizing long lead time items and critical components. Negotiate price, delivery, and terms for Purchase Requisitions during project phases. Travel to suppliers' locations and fabrication shops to verify progress and ensure timely deliveries. Attend kick-off meetings with suppliers and actively participate in internal project handovers and review meetings. Proactively drive the Supply Chain team to ensure supplier delivery and quality. Assist in securing and validating information for timely invoice processing. Prepare reports detailing supplier progress, problems, and solutions. Analyze project budgets, track spending, and drive activities to support deflation and cost savings. Complete KPIs and department effectiveness assessment reports. Collaborate with various business functions to resolve material discrepancies and ensure efficient fulfillment. Vendor Relationship Management

What will you need?

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills and a team player. In-depth understanding of End-to-End Sourcing & Procurement processes. Demonstrated project management skills. Excellent communication skills – logical and organized. Quick learner, self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to coordinate cross-site, multi-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

Essential: Minimum 5+ years of experience in the supply chain field. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft applications, and Data warehouses. Ability to work within a globally dispersed and diverse team.
Desirable: Post-graduation/MBA/PMP/CPSM would be an added advantage. Work experience in a project-oriented organization. SAP experience.
