Join a family-owned New York based logistics company with a 125-year history, with services nationwide. We are looking to fill a crucial role in driving the growth of our sales pipeline. As the initial point of contact for our customers, you will serve as a trusted advisor.

The Role

  • Serve as the primary liaison between shippers and carriers, optimizing logistics solutions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and enhance existing client relationships.
  • Negotiate terms and rates with carriers, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and tracking of freight, managing all logistics from initiation to delivery.
  • Handle documentation and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Utilize technology platforms such as HubSpot, Slack, and Rose Rocket for streamlined operations.
  • Maintain an active presence on LinkedIn to engage with industry peers and promote our services.

Ideal Profile

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of freight broker laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in freight brokerage, with knowledge of FTL and LTL shipments.
  • Experience in logistics for cold storage or refrigerated goods is advantageous.
  • Proficient in logistics software, Google Suite, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships.
