Reporting to the fleet manager, you will ensure the monitoring of ships in your area.

Main responsabilities:

- For each vessel, you will initiate investigations, determine the purchases and repairs to be carried out in order to comply with shipping technical norms, expiry dates and the company’s standards. After the approval of your managers, you will implement them.

- During technical interventions, you will supervise and coordinate crew members and external participants (repair yards, shipping experts, classifications Companies, etc.).

- You will be the key contact of chief engineers, captains, Lines and shipyards. In addition, you will draw up and monitor operational budgets allocated to each vessel.

- Finally, you will update all shipping documents and official certificates that are necessary for the vessel, control their consumptions (oil, fuel, etc.) and participate in their optimisation.

Requirements

You have a chief/second engineer licence, or a degree in naval engineering, and you have at least a 8-year experience as a seafarer and/or in a similar position. You have already prepared and supervised technical stops,

During your assignment, you may have to inspect ships

English is your working language, both orally and in writing, and you have a good command of computer and office tools.

You have a good knowledge of international maritime regulations. Expertise in a technical field (hull, engines, etc.) is desirable.
