What we are looking for

Nūmi is looking for a Lab manager who will work closely with our R&D department. Prior experience in logistics and laboratory operations are key requirements. As part of your mission at Nūmi, you will:

  • Ensure optimal stocks of all lab consumables and reagents to support ongoing lab activities, including regular autoclave cycles
  • Act as the primary contact for vendors and procurement-related matters
  • Update and monitor all equipment database and associated maintenance programs and service suppliers
  • Ensure and coordinate proper transportation of samples in and out of Nūmi’s facility
  • Coordinate storage handling and removal of hazardous waste and clean/dirty lab coats by external vendors
  • Assist and coordinate space organization of the laboratories, including prospective extensions/moving.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or bioengineering and proven experience (2+ years) in laboratory management or operations within the biotech or life sciences industry
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and procurement processes
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Interpersonal skills for vendor liaison and team collaboration
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication in French and English

Bonus
  • Prior experience implementing and providing training for inventory management or procurement systems
  • Prior experience with an autoclave device
