With over 100 sites in more than 40 countries, the segment serves the food and beverage industry as well as pet food manufacturers and aquaculture.
The Pet Food division offers product solutions and services to improve the taste and acceptance of food by pets, to guarantee the safety of pet food and for animal health. To study food acceptance, feeding behaviour and interactions between owners and pets, the division has four centres of expertise with around 1,000 dogs and cats. Following the idea of "the closer, the better", Symrise Pet Food, [part of the Taste, Nutrition and Health segment,] serves its customers from more than 30 sites around the world.

Your role
As a Patent Engineer reporting to the Symrise Pet Food IP manager, your role will be crucial in detecting and protecting patentable inventions.

At least an MSc in food chemistry, food science, food technology, biochemistry, bioscience or adjacent fields CEIPI Strasbourg diploma required First professional experience as a patent engineer Excellent writing skills and ability to summarise and make information readable Thoroughness, organisation and strong analytical skills Excellent oral communication skills Strong interpersonal and team-building skills (in an international context) Ability to interact effectively and constructively with various functions at all levels of the organisation Fluency in written and spoken English and French
