Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do

At Strategic Product Planning, the organization we belong to, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

You will work with regulatory agencies in EU (mainly EU Commission) or in UN (WP29 and subgroups in the United Nations) to influence the development of CO2 regulation (HD & LD), as well as regulation for battery durability.

To do so, you will, internally, lead and maintain networks to prepare and to anchor Volvo positions that you will then promote externally.

You will act as a Volvo representative within Manufacturers Associations, where you will work with our competitors to build consensus positions (respecting the Competition Law Compliance (CLC)) and you will secure that the Volvo position is well reflected in the industry position. You will work with key internal players to share and promote this industry position to Members States and other relevant external stakeholders.

You will as well support/understand the CO2 & battery durability regulation development outside EU, highlighting and internally reporting deviations compared to the EU approach.

You will also have responsibility to communicate internally about the future regulatory development and potential associated risks, to help securing a good understanding of the regulation. You will provide input to the Product Planning organization and to the Engineering Product owners to agree on necessary actions to align the product plans to the developing set of regulations.

You will participate to establish and maintain regulatory guidance documents for internal activities and you will provide, on request, regulatory support to Volvo compliance activities including interpretation and guidance on regulatory requirements or negotiation of compliance strategies with regulatory agencies.
