Insulation Labourers x16 - Grangemouth KG TAR 

TAR window 17th August – 05th Oct, Pre & Post TAR works. Recruiting from 22nd Jul for a proportion of the workforce anticipated end date mid - end of Oct.

Insulation Labourers, min requirements – previous experience in working with TIEs & or working within Petrochem plants, along with one of the following - CITB Health, Safety & Environment certificate or CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent safety training certification.

NAECI rates of Pay with £2.37 2nd tier bonus during the TAR window £1 all other times, 6 days working 57 hours per week

Key functions

To carryout duties in a manner to comply with;

Altrad and clients Health and Safety proceduresMaintaining Health and Safety during thermal insulation activities.Assisting Thermal Insulation Engineers with Insulation tasks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

To understand the Altrad Health and Safety policy, and ensure the policy is adhered to by all employees.Demonstrate effective communication, actively participating with pre-job briefings.Ability to work effectively within a team working environment.The ability to understand method statements and risk assessments to carryout task safely.To demonstrate the ability to select the correct Insulation materials and finishes relevant to various applications and changing operational environments.Knowledge of the use of tools and equipment and to ensure they are correctly maintained.Identify and escalate any significant risks to health and safety and report risks and any defects to the Supervisor and safety teams.The ability to assist trades people with the removal and replacement of Insulation materials and finishes.The ability to undertake instruction from the Supervisor and act with professionalism.Monitor and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring work areas are kept tidy.Report any Accidents, Incidents and Near misses to the Site Supervisor or Site Manager immediately.
