Our software streamlines, simplifies and accelerates non-realistic production workflows, dramatically cutting costs for stylized content in animation, film, game cinematics, advertising and more.

Mago is currently looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team and help build the foundation of our innovative video stylization / AI rendering technology.

Tasks

️ What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain REST APIs to interface Mago's app and AI render engine with external platforms
  • Optimize GPU workloads for cost efficiency
  • Maintain our workflow orchestrator and create workflow definitions for AI rendering processes
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Manage and update our Kubernetes clusters, writing specs for various workloads
  • Collaborate with frontend and ML teams to integrate new features into video processing pipelines
  • Write clean, readable, and well-documented code, improving our existing codebase
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
  • Strong proficiency in OpenAPI, Docker, Git, SQL, and agile workflows
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Familiarity with GPU technologies (CUDA) and video processing

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with frontend development (React, TypeScript)
  • Familiarity with video editing software and 3D animation tools
  • Knowledge of Stable Diffusion and AI-driven image/video generation
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with changing requirements
