The role reports directly to the EMEA Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and requires collaboration and excellent relationships with clients, the broader EMEA team and peers from other departments. This job description may evolve with the group organization.


Key duties and responsibilities

Planning / Budgeting cycle (annual)

In close coordination with Business and Performance teams and business units:

Coordinate and review, or produce when not available EMEA legal entities operating plans (1-3 years, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flows, Liquidity) under all relevant GAAPs (local GAAP/French GAAP, Solvency 2 and IFRS 17), for technical and non technical aspectsProjections on tax resultQuarterly closing Landing & Analysis

In close coordination with business and performance, business units and EMEA closing and reporting team:

Prepare and coordinate information during the landing process for EMEA scope, in particular anticipate the impacts on EMEA legal entitiesFollow up and analyse variances to plan and to previous quarter/ annual actuals in order to explain key performance indicators to EMEA CFO, key local stakeholders (local boards, regulators, ...), business and performance teams and Business unitsPrepare, coordinate and follow up of multi-GAAP quarterly reporting to the management and the Board for EMEA legal entities Finance transformation involvement:

The role will support the execution of the EMEA Financial Planning & Analysis roadmap to 2025 and mandate in the following areas:

Document the existing processes, contribute to improvement of existing or set up new process, setting up automation or better use existing toolsBuild strong collaborative working relationships with our stakeholders and clients, in particular client focused mindset as more services are being pooled to maximize the satisfaction of internal clients Involvement in ad’hoc specific analysis or projects as needed for management or Internal clients

Required experience & competencies

Experience: 

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in a reinsurance or insurance entity or as external auditor/ consultant in the reinsurance and/or insurance area.Strong expertise in planning, analytics and reportingStrong knowledge in IFRS, local gaap standards and Solvency II environmentsStrong knowledge of insurance/reinsurance business and principles

Digital Competencies:

Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPointKnowledge and or practice of BI reports is a plus
