Pricing & Modelling SBS Analysis Apprentice

Based in Paris, the jobholder will be an ambitious Apprentice eager to gain experience in a dynamic, multicultural team within SCOR Global P&C, a leading reinsurer and Lloyd’s syndicate. The main responsibilities include assisting the P&C SBS Pricing & Modelling team, located in both Paris and London, through regular business activities and project work. This role offers exposure to a multidisciplinary actuarial and modelling team, covering all SCOR offices, and includes tasks in both actuarial pricing and catastrophe (cat) modelling.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the team with actuarial pricing tasks, including data analysis, model development, and risk assessment. Assisting in catastrophe modelling, which involves estimating potential losses from natural disasters. Contributing to ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at improving pricing models and methodologies. Collaborating with team members across different SCOR offices to ensure consistency and accuracy in pricing and modelling efforts. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in the reinsurance industry. It provides a unique opportunity to work within a leading global reinsurer and gain hands-on experience in both actuarial and modelling disciplines.
Technical pricing of large single risks, providing insightful analysis to underwriters through clear communication, with a focus on improving profitability. Work closely with actuaries, modellers and underwriters to develop and maintain appropriate pricing benchmarks, methods and tools. Assist in the review of insurance parameters and economic assumptions used for Pricing and Modelling.
