JOB TITLE: Apprentice Metal Commodity Purchasing (M/F)

Based in : Saint Ouen, France


 

MISSION OBJECTIVES :

 

We are looking for an Apprentice student to join our Procurement department. Working as part of the METALLIC Sector teams, in the Raw Materials (Steel) & Machining Commodity, your role will be to support this team in Rolling Stock and Services projects (understanding the strategic issues, implementing the purchasing strategy and taking part in contractual and commercial negotiations with the main suppliers).

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

Mission based on 3 axes: Technical, Commercial and Managerial

 

Technical : 

 

Creation of a costing model for metal parts
Creation of LPP (Linear Part Price) analysis by part and region 
Analysis of the panel of machining and metal suppliers
Technical mapping of suppliers (technical capabilities of panel suppliers)
 
Commercial : 

 

Analysing part costs and raw material prices and preparing negotiations
Launch calls for tender on the market to find cost-cutting opportunities.
Participate in negotiations with suppliers
 
Managerial :

 

Updating and managing commodity indicators
Analysing the financial situation of suppliers
Ensuring contractual cover for panel suppliers

 

PROFILE :

 

Level of training / Technical skills: engineering studies and/or a Master's degree specialising in Purchasing with a first internship in Industry will be strong assets.

Behavioural skills :

dynamic and rigorous
good ability to summarise
good English and interpersonal skills
good communication skills


PERIOD :

1 year, starting in September 2024
