Business Owner for Altea Reservation and Ticketing Solutions

Business Environment:

We are embarking on a journey to transform the way airlines engage with their customers to sell and deliver products. Our strategic program, Nevio, aims to enable airlines to offer a personalized and seamless customer journey across all channels and touchpoints. Nevio will empower airlines to become true retailers and deliverers of their own products, as well as ancillaries from other travel providers. It will also simplify the airline IT landscape by consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single platform that supports end-to-end processes and workflows.

While we focus on building Nevio, we must ensure our revenue-generating Altea PSS products continue to evolve and deliver value to our customers. Altea provides core functionalities for airline reservation, inventory, ticketing, departure control, and e-commerce, and is used by over 200 airlines worldwide. As we transition from Altea to Nevio over the next decade, we must maintain compatibility and interoperability, offering seamless migration paths and supporting hybrid scenarios.

Purpose:

As the 1A Management PoC and Business Owner, you will manage products generating over 200 million euros in annual revenue. Your main goal is to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction for Reservation and Ticketing products and to build, promote, and sell our new voucher and subscription solution, Asset Manager, in partnership with Qwikcilver.

Key Responsibilities:

Representation and Communication:

Act as the primary PoC towards R&D counterparts, representing Amadeus at ART level meetings.

Attend and contribute to ART & cross-ART leaders' meetings, both internally and with customers.

Information Sharing:

Share important updates and news from the FSD ART with Amadeus Leaders, contractors, and across the ART.

Communicate within Amadeus about the successes of FSD ART, including posting about important deliveries on platforms like Viva Engage.

Initiative and Improvement:

Propose and drive initiatives and discussions to enhance the ART's life, value stream, and the Digital Hangar in general.

Support 1A & 1A contractors within the FSD ART, particularly for escalations beyond their product team.

Facilitate access and communication to other Amadeus domains as needed.

Portfolio Leadership:

Lead Product Management activities for Reservation and Ticketing.

Drive investment in RES & TKT platforms, ensuring customer satisfaction, reduced maintenance, and limited technical debt.

Define product strategy, vision, and business value in line with stakeholders.

Manage budget, capacity planning with R&D, and product roadmap execution.

Collaborate with commercial teams, Product Marketing Management, Operations, and R&D.

Financial Monitoring:

Manage and monitor the budget for the area of responsibility.

Control costs to ensure they remain within budget.

Customer Relationship:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Manage customer escalations and resolve issues promptly.

Support regional activities and CLC initiatives.

Solution Services and Competency Center:

Participate in service LPM to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Collaborate with services organization to drive requirement analysis and successful outcomes.

FinOps & Maintenance:

Act as FinOps champion across the order domain.

Support R&D to optimize maintenance costs while ensuring high service availability.

Monitor maintenance KPIs for continuous improvement.

Altea PSS Community Sponsorship:

Host the Global Community Investment Body (GCIB) and User Groups.

Communicate the strategic direction of Airline Solutions and endorse the budget towards the Altea Community.

Support community team and stream leaders in event preparation and organization.

SAFe Ways of Working:

Actively participate as the Reservation & Ticketing Business Owner, supporting and guiding through PI planning & execution.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a large, complex organization.

Minimum 10 years of experience in related areas

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively.

Experience in driving initiatives and facilitating discussions across multiple teams.

Ability to manage escalations and support team members in resolving issues.

Willingness to travel frequently as required for LHG PIPE participation
