Job title of the line manager: Quality Group Leader

Responsibilities:
To hold NF EN4179 Level 3 certification in one or more NDT methods, and have a thorough knowledge of the instructions, specification codes and written standards used by the employer.
To have a thorough knowledge of the NDT equipment, components, product technologies, methods and techniques used. A Level 3 Manager has responsibility for applying the NF EN4179 standard and for overall administration of the qualification and certification program.

Scope of activities Perform some or all of the following activities: Have the responsibility and authority to ensure compliance with the requirements of standard NF EN 4179:Approve the employer's internal application procedureTransmit the internal application procedure to FrANDTBReview NDT requirementsSequence NDT operationsDevelopment and approval of NDT proceduresDevelopment/review and approval of NDT techniquesTrain NDT personnelExamination of NDT personnelQualification and certification (authorization to operate) of NDT personnelSupervise the tutoring of trainees. Approve the level 1 agent or the instructor in charge of direct observation, if necessary, in the context of obtaining the necessary experienceMention in the internal application procedure if a level 1 agent is authorized to perform interpretations and assessments for acceptance or rejection of productsEnsure that the training meets the employer’s needs if a FrANDTB-approved training center is usedEnsure that the requirements of NF EN 4179 are met and that the training complies with the training programs defined by the FrANDTB if the training is carried out in a non-FrANDTB-approved training center or internally. In that case, approve the center and its trainersApprove the content of the on-the-job trainingIn the event that training has been provided prior to the training program defined in the internal procedure, determine whether it is acceptable and define the additional training to be carried outIn the event of non-certification within 12 months of the end of the internal procedure training program, determine the refresher training to be providedIn the case of agents previously certified other than through the FrANDTB, determine their training's compliance with that procedureEnsure that radiation protection training prior to certification is provided to the relevant candidatesDocument experience acquired with a previous employer and approve it being entirely or partially taken into accountFor personnel qualified under other programs, document the experience acquired and determine its equivalenceDesignate personnel trained to test the vision of NDT agents if they are not qualified medical personnelAssess the impact of any limitation in the perception of colors before certificationDetermine the need for an additional specific and practical examination corresponding to the employer’s processes and productsCheck the competence of the agent before reinstating certification suspended for lack of competenceDetermine and document additional training in the event of failing a general, specific or practical examination before re-examination 2/3-year degree-level qualification in physical measurements or control techniques. FrANDTB ultrasound, level 3 certification. Minimum 5 years' experience.
