The R&D Engineer II will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that is responsible for developing engineering simulation features for FEA applications. The successful candidate will work with a network of expert professionals to rapidly research, integrate, and extend state-of-the-art simulation features.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, design and implement features in a state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software application based on the Finite Element Method (FEA).  Develop, maintain and improve object-oriented data structures, algorithms and modules. Exposure to different design patterns and microservices architecture. Engage a network of expert professionals to collaborate and accomplish development objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas with 5 years' experience, MS with 2 years' experience Experience in object-oriented languages (with a preference for C++ & C#) Strong analytical skills, ability to learn quickly and work closely with others in both French and English Ability to deliver high-quality work on time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of FEA or similar computational techniques. Experience as a software developer working with any of the following: .NET, REST, gRPC, Docker. Experience with web APIs. Understanding of CI/CD processes and testing methodologies. Knowledge of agile software development practices.
