We currently have opportunities for Pipefitters to join our team at Fawley Oil Refinery. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for making up sections of high and/or low-pressure piping systems ready for installation.

x2 Pipefitters - Fawley Oil Refinery 

£21.27 per hour plus bonus 

6 on 1 off - 10 hour shifts 

Role and Responsibilities:
Ascertain job requirements from drawings or other specifications. 
Select correct pipe and to cut it to the required size with band saw or oxy-propane.
Prepare pipework and flanges for welding, checking alignment, orientation, gaps, and dimensional accuracy before welding. 
Bend piping using pipe benders or heat and bend by hand. 
Pipe thread cutting and screwing.
Prepare pipe , Check alignment, straightness and dimensional accuracy. 
Install prefabricated sections on site if required
Operate trade machinery. Pillar drill, band saw, guillotine etc.
Operate overhead cranes and basic slinging in a safe manner after training.
Adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment. 
Use Oxy/fuel hand burning/heating/cutting equipment. 
Use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements 

What we are looking for:
Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3. Experience preferred.
