The European project COUNTERACT, co-funded by the European Defence Fund, aims to reinforce the European Union’s preparedness for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats. The 4-year project comprises 26 partners, including universities, technological research organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises, from 11 EU Member states.

the project has the objective to identify existing ecosystems and infrastructure involved in the development of medical countermeasures (MCM) against CBRN threats and to define a roadmap for R&D and certification of such MCM. The overarching goal is to develop a sustainable strategy for facilitating R&D, certification, and production of (new) MCM in the event of a CBRN threat or incident.

CEA intends to hire a EU project officer to:

· Collect information on the current European and international ecosystems involved in R&D, certification, production and deployment of MCM against CBRN, collection of information involves desktop searches and reaching out to the international parties involved,

· Evaluate to which extent the ecosystems are adequate to ensure the development, certification and availability of MCM against CBRN,

· Identify policies and laws related to CBRN defence MCM applied within the EU and other regions of the world

· Identify gaps in the context of EU self-reliance in the development of CBRN defence relevant MCM from bench to bedside.

Based in Fontenay aux Roses

Profil du candidat

Master’s degree in public health, pharmacy, European affairs, public security or similar.

You have a minimum of 6 years' professional experience in policy development, public safety, public health, security and/or defense.

Good communication skills are essential for this position, and an expert level of English is required.

Discretion is also required.

Assignment includes frequent traveling
