Your missions :

You willjoin the Commercial department for a program in 2 rotationsof one year each, starting with one year in  Market Research  andfollowed by a second one year rotation in the  Trading Team .


Research Team rotation

As a Commodity Analyst , you will contribute to the analysis on one or more marketscovered by the Research team (Sugar, Ethanol, Grains and/or Energy). You willwork daily with other analysts and traders to monitor the market developmentsand build necessary analytics tools.

During this time, you will focus on developing new models and communicating theSupply and Demand analysis to a wide internal audience. You will bringconfidence in data accuracy and models robustness to various stakeholders.

Trading Team rotation

During your second mission within the trading department, you will work closelywith the traders in one of the markets listed above where you will develop asolid grasp of the dynamics of physical values of the origins traditionallysupplying this zone.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to understand the main drivers ofthe futures market to confidently communicate market developments, recommendappropriate positioning, hedging and pricing strategies to the commercial teamand our clients.

At the same time, you will continue to work closely with members of the MarketResearch team to maintain the accuracy of the S&Ds for the zone ofresponsibility, constantly question the groups assumptions of the region. Keepup to date production (yield and acreage), consumption, stocks, import, exportflow information as well as monthly/weekly domestic price updates. 

Your day-to-day activities :

Develop data, tools, models and processes for market analysis from various sources Manage Supply & Demand balances and models. Extract market prices trend changes & relative values Communicate to trading and sales team actionable insights Collaborate and support other analysts, traders and other colleagues in the commercial department Extract and structure data to obtain relevant information for analytical purposes Provide ideas for new data sources, technology and innovation to strengthen. analysis within the Market Intelligence Research team Report and communicate to the management Develop Risk management skills through managing and trading physical and/or futures positions Build and maintain solid relationships with market participants Ensure the accurate administration of the physical position including the reporting of all potential contract problems Compile a weekly report giving insight and analysis of the developments that week along with business concluded and further trading opportunities and suggestions

Your profile :

Master's Diploma in one of the following fields : Agronomy, Finance, Commerce  Strong interest in Commodity Research and/or Trading 1 year of experience in a related field Outstanding organizational and position administration skills Very good communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in negotiation Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Disciplined, open, curious, willing and able to take decisions Ability to travel as and when required by the business Fluent English and French. Any other language is a plus Top Excel. Power BI and python or other coding language is a plus
