Sophia Antipolis, France arm limited Temps plein

The Role

Job Overview:

Arm Sophia Antipolis design centre is located in one of the most appealing parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this outstanding design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family. These CPUs power some of the world’s best-selling smartphones, tablets and gaming systems, using technology that has taken user experience and performance to another level.

You have an opportunity to take part in the development of the next generation of processors that will appear in the most desirable products over the next 3 years. The local CPU verification team is a great combination of technical specialists and enthusiastic graduates from the best engineering schools. Collectively, the team is highly creative, collaborative, delivery oriented and committed.

You will be able to work closely with our hardworking, expert engineers to help develop ground-breaking technology. You will gain knowledge and tackle challenges, whilst being able to encounter opportunities to work on all aspects of product development.

We want to make sure that every intern learns about different aspects of our work and grows their knowledge. That is why you will work in a team on real projects from day one, with guidance from experienced engineers, and also have dedicated time for personal development.

Responsibilities:

You will be part of the CPU verification team, and participate in verifying Arm cortex IPs to the highest quality standards using a wide range of methodologies, tools and programming languages, from constrained random simulation to real applications on FPGA. Innovative formal methods are also at the heart of Arm verification strategy.

You will develop scripts, tools, models and testbenches using various programming languages, such as UVM, SystemVerilog, C, C++ and Python.

Required Skills and Experience:

We are looking for students in their last year of Masters (BAC+5 or equivalent) in electronics engineering, computer engineering, or computer science (other degrees may also be considered based on your experience), who are available for a 5 or 6-month internship, with the following skills:

An engineering approach with strong problem-solving skills. Curiosity for CPUs and digital systems. Experience with at least one programming language such as: C, C++, Python. An understanding of computer architecture fundamentals. Excellent attention to detail. Creativity and ability to communicate ideas effectively. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of one of the main CPU architectures. Knowledge of FPGA devices and tools. Familiarity with basic digital design concepts. Familiarity with a hardware description language, such as VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog. Exposure to verification techniques and testbenches (such as UVM, coverage, or Formal). Use of a Linux environment and shell programming/scripting: bash, git, make, ssh. Exposure to low-level programming or driver development.

In Return:

Working on interesting new projects is exciting, but we also know how meaningful it is to receive support. That's why throughout your internship, you can expect regular feedback and development opportunities, social activities to connect with your peers, an end of summer celebration, plus the opportunity to be *considered for future Graduate positions (*subject to performance). #getreadytogrow

Our program is crafted to give you the best start possible and support your personal growth as well as professional development.

Gain a competitive salary of 1900 euros / month, supportive rewards package, alongside unparalleled learning and networking opportunities from the best in industry.
