Business Continuity Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage a comprehensive BCM program.
- Identify critical business processes, assess risks, and develop BCPs with defined RTOs and RPOs.
- Enhance existing Business Continuity Policies and Plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Set up a functional Crisis Unit.
- Conduct regular Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify critical activities, dependencies, and potential disruptions.
- Facilitate the development and testing of BCPs across business units.
- Ensure alignment with risk assessments.
- Coordinate and manage testing exercises.
- Address gaps in the program.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to raise awareness of BCM.
- Cultivate relationships with third-party vendors for BCM integration.
- Monitor and enhance the BCM program continuously.
- Present reports on program activities to senior management.
- Activate BCP during disruptive events and coordinate recovery efforts.
Business Continuity Manager Qualifications:
- Fluent in French (mandatory); English proficiency is advantageous.
- Very strategic and knowledgeable about IT in a banking context.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Risk, Internal Control, Financial Operations, or a related risk field.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Experience in BIAs and BCP development.
- Knowledge of banking industry best practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with highly regulated environments.
