Headquartered in Poland, Base.com has 8+ independently-run teams across the globe (Brazil, Czech Republic, Romania, India, UK, USA, DACH, India). Currently, we are experiencing exponential growth and are scaling globally. We have made acquisitions, set up new businesses, and grown the team significantly (team size 10x growth in last 3 years) - already exceeding 230 professionals. 

We are now looking for dynamic and entrepreneurial individuals to be part of the founding team in France  Team France will be a crack squad of specialists in product / sales / marketing / implementation / support working to build a deep understanding of our users and grow through product leadership in one of Europe's biggest ecommerce markets. 

Our goal is to become the first choice solution for any ecommerce merchant or enterprise doing business in France.

 

As our Product Manager for France, you’ll be at the heart of our French expansion, ensuring that our product perfectly fits the needs of French users. You will be the bridge between our local customers and our talented tech and product teams in Poland, shaping the future of Base.com in France.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, ideally in SaaS or eCommerce (marketplace, online boutique)

  • Familiar with the ecommerce ecosystem in France - AMZ, Cdiscount, FNAC/Darty, Rakuten, La redoute, ManoMano… Shopify, Prestashop, Woocommerce, Magento…

  • User-focused: You’re passionate about understanding customer needs and are always thinking about how to improve their experience.

  • Bilingual: Fluent in French and English, allowing you to effectively communicate with our customers and international teams.

  • Collaborative: You enjoy working cross-functionally and can communicate clearly with teams from different disciplines.

  • Proactive Problem-Solver: You thrive in dynamic environments and are excited about the opportunity to shape our product offering in a new market.

Tasks

  • Market Insight: Deeply understand the needs of eCommerce businesses in France through user interviews and sales calls, and market analysis.

  • Localization: Collaborate with our tech and product teams in Poland to localize and adapt our product to meet the unique requirements of French users.

  • User Advocacy: Be the voice of our French customers within Base.com, advocating for features and improvements that enhance the user experience.

  • Product Vision: Contribute to the product roadmap with insights and recommendations specific to the French market, ensuring we deliver value to our users.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless experience for our users during the launch and beyond.
