Rotating Equipment Specialist (F/M)

Context:

The Business Division Project Operations is specialized in the Process licensing, in the design and supply of process furnaces and modular units for our customers’ refineries and petrochemical this Business division is carried out the execution of the products, from design to start-up at Engineering department is responsible for engineering studies on these projects as well as technical support for the development of new equipment sold by the company. Missions : Working in cross-functional engineering activities, the Rotating Equipment specialist is responsible for the Rotating Equipment discipline, She/he provides technical assistance to several departments and is also involved on one or several strategic projects. She/he reports hierarchically to the Engineering Management and Digital Transformation responsible and functionally to the Project Manager/ Engineering manager on each assigned main missions will be as follows:Support for proposal teams in preparing responses to calls for tender. Participate in the costing of projects in the proposal phase in collaboration with the departments concerned (proposal, project, process, engineering) on the Rotating equipment activity. Participate in the development of Rotating Equipment execution scheme activities, define the subcontracting plan or internal works in collaboration with the departments concerned (proposal, project, process, engineering). Technical Expertise.  She/he will be the global technical expert on rotating equipment within Axens Group

Project Execution & Development (New Project, Revamp, Modular and Furnaces projects).

 Define the adequate Rotating machines during the process unit conceptual and pre-project phasis. Support Axens process design engineers in order to integrate the rotating Equipments in the process unit. Develop technical requisitions and evaluate bids for rotating equipment (pumps and compressors) in the Process Design Book, FEED and detailed design phases of EPF projects. Review the client specifications and procedures. Prepare job specifications and datasheets (typically API datasheets).  Review the vendor proposals and issue the technical bid evaluation. Technical Support on Process Department. Provide technical support on process department on rotating equipment on license and projects development (PDP) Continuous improvement, Training and product technology watch  Ensure that return of experience effectively is taken into account on the projects to which he is assigned, and cascade into engineering processes and transform them into good practice at the level of the various engineering disciplines.  Validate "rotating machine" aspects for process-related documents such as Process Design Guides. Update the specifications and study guides for Axens Pumps, Compressors and others rotating machine.  Participate in actions to improve and structure the engineering department on Rotating Equipments activities (standards, procedure, tools, qualification of subcontractors, interfaces..). Knowledge and Required Level:  Graduated engineer specialized in Rotaring Machines used in oil and gas processing plants.  You have excellent knowledge of rotating equipments (mainly compressors and pumps) and international standards (API, ASME…)  Experience of conceptual design and sizing of compressors in a manufacturer company is an advantage  You have a minimum of 15 years' professional experience in the Oil & Gas engineering sector, including at least 10 years in rotating equipments activities.  A strong sense of service that, combined with relational ease and a spirit of analysis, helps to respond effectively and enthusiastically to the requests of internal and external clients.   Great autonomy given that the expertise in the field is unique at Axens,  Sense of curiosity to maintain his skills in his specialty and help develop his knowledge of Axens' business   Fluent technical English (written, spoken), French is appreciated.  You are a force of proposal and know how to decide and defend your choices with your interlocutors.  Dynamic, you don't let yourself be destabilized by problems and are able to find solutions thanks to your sense of realityand excellent relational skills.  Emergency and contingency management doesn't destabilize you.  This position requires short-term international travel in average at 10% per year, especially to engineering contractors or customers.
