Procurement Transformation Officer

Job position pitch

Delivery focused and with an interest for both process and tools topics towards the third-party management, you are able to quickly understand operational processes such as regulatory requirements (Solvency II, DORA…) related to vendor risk management and, to support the deployment of tools and processes across the AXA Group, along with taking a step back to participate in the vendor risk framework and procurement transformation initiatives.

Where will you be in the organization?

The division

You will join Group Procurement division. Our mission is to increase AXA Group competitiveness by optimizing the end-to-end Procurement cycle of external spend (excluding Insurance procurement), while building a high performance and risk-managed supplier based. We have a global and entity Procurement presence with 2 different mandates:

As a Group corporate function, we:

·Leverage our purchasing power through global deals & key supplier relationship management

·Define & share vendor risk framework & outsourcing policies

·Provide and manage global Procurement tools

·Drive responsible Procurement across AXA

·Engage the Procurement community

As a Group Operations (GO) support function, we:

·Optimize the external spend by managing categories and suppliers, and challenging the demand to support AXA GO strategy

·Implement vendor risk framework and policies at AXA GO

·Develop and use local & global Procurement tools

·Develop responsible Procurement at AXA GO

The department / team

The Procurement Performance department is responsible for:

·Proactively and strategically manage our global and multi-country vendors to drive maximum value to AXA and leverage our scale

·Develop short, medium and long-term Category Strategies & demand management with business stakeholders and across AXA entities

·Drive the Procurement sustainability strategy to support the ambition of the AXA Group

·Support innovation through harnessing the experience and creativity of our existing and future vendors and developing AXA’s attractiveness to vendors

·Build a secure vendor ecosystem through creating a vendor risk framework and applying focus in selected areas ( outsourcing, vendor management, new regulatory requirements)

·Provide some global platforms to the Procurement function (contract repository, third-party risk management, SRM…)

·Drive M&A Procurement practice to secure Procurement activities related to acquisitions and divestitures across the Group

The Procurement Transformation Officer is part of the Procurement Performance team.

About the job

Job purpose

Procurement must address some key challenges that are tightly related to AXA’s ambition: Efficiency, Transformation, Risk management or compliance.

The primary mission of the Procurement Transformation Officer will be to lead in autonomy the annual update of group guidelines related to the vendor risk management and its implementation / deployment by the entities through the deployment of tools and processes supporting outsourcing and contract management in order to enhance procurement efficiency and vendor knowledge (eg: risk assessment, vendors etc.).

He/She will work closely with internal and external resources that will require “influencing” skills and “drive” as continuously interacting with various teams or stakeholders over which he/she has no formal authority in multiple countries.

Main missions

In particular, the Procurement Transformation Officer will be responsible to:

·Manage and lead transversal project related to vendor risk management and outsourcing,

·Gather and understand the requirements from different stakeholders to provide them with process
& tools,

·Formalize the associated guidelines in collaboration with stakeholders (procurement and corporate functions),

·Build the annual roadmap & determine which features should be prioritized for development,

·Participate in the deployment of processes & tools,

·Participate in the structuration of Procurement data model, both as-is and to-be, and participate in various initiatives to improve data quality and

·Manage communication through AXA stakeholders & transversal community.

Your Profile

Expected skills & experience

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

Experience

·Graduate, with 5-7+ years professional experience required in similar missions.

·Experience in working in an international environment and ability to deal in a multi-cultural environment.

·Proven track record of designing and implementing operating models for large companies.

Technical skills

·IT project/program management certification (agile and/or standard project methodology).

·Knowledge of procurement practices & related tools (Coupa, Salesforce and risk management solutions).

·Analytical skills.

·Understanding of functional architecture topics (including interfacing capabilities) .

·Good to have : experience in implementing tools for large companies.

Soft skills / transversal skills

·Proactivity, autonomy, organizational skills and rigor in execution

·Action/result oriented

·Communications skills and ability to present to senior management

·Good ability to listen and flexibility is a prerequisite as the scope of work can vary depending on demand and priorities

·English in speaking and writing is mandatory

·Can think breakthrough to challenge ‘old’ way of doing things and define key transformation topics
