Senior HPC Systems Engineer – (On-site, Paris)

Our client is looking for an experienced HPC Systems Engineer to join a high-impact project in France . This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical and secure environment, managing cutting-edge High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure .

The Role

As a Senior HPC Systems Engineer , you will be responsible for administering and optimising an HPC environment, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. You will work on-site in Paris , collaborating with your team at HPE and with key public-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot HPC systems, ensuring peak performance
  • Manage Linux environments , parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS ), and networking (Ethernet, Infiniband )
  • Plan and implement updates, security patches, and version management
  • Work closely with HPE technical teams and external vendors to resolve issues
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum five years of HPC experience in HPC Administration
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, parallel computing (Slurm, Xcat), scripting (Shell, Python)
  • Expertise in monitoring tools (Grafana), automation (Ansible, Git, Puppet)
  • Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and REST APIs
  • Must be eligible for security clearance in France
