For more than 40 years, Action Education (formerly Aide et Action), an international association for development through education, has been ensuring access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, especially children, girls and women, so that they can control their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Because access to quality education helps to fight poverty and disease, limit climate change and build peace in a sustainable world, we promote lifelong learning. We therefore pay particular attention to early childhood care and education, access to and quality of education at primary and secondary levels, and vocational training and social inclusion.

By basing our work on the values of dignity, inclusion and integrity, as well as on the principles of transparency, accountability and solidarity, and thanks to the support of our 51,500 donors, we are currently running 80 projects in 18 countries (in Africa, Asia, Haiti and Europe) for almost 1.5 million children, young people and adults.

Missions

Reporting to the Managing Director International and a member of the Management Board, the Finance and Administration Director (M/F) will be responsible for support functions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance and Administration Manager (M/F) has the following responsibilities in particular:

  • Participates in drawing up development strategies for the Aide et Action network;
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of various organisational and operational processes initiated by the Managing Director International
  • Supervises and coordinates the implementation of the department's strategies and action plans for :
    • Finance and internal control
    • Administration and general services
    • IT and information systems
    • Legal
    • International human resources
Profile required
  • Master's degree in finance (similar qualifications) with solid experience in team and project management
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in similar positions in NGOs
  • Fluency in professional English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, management skills and diplomacy.
Conditions
  • Permanent contract, Executive status
  • Luncheon vouchers, health insurance and transport passes paid for by 50%
  • Desired start date: As soon as possible
  • 23 days RTT / year
  • Possibility of teleworking: 2 days a week
  • Remuneration: from €65 K
