About the Role
As Project Ownership Assistant, you will support the execution of three strategic projects within the framework of a two-year temporary assignment. In this role, you will provide project ownership assistance and ensure the smooth coordination, planning, and execution of the assigned projects. Our sites in Cappelle-en-Pévèle, France and Tienen, Belgium will be your two home bases during your assignment.
Your key responsibilities
Creation of a Technical Seeds Processing, Storage and Quality Center in Cappelle-en-Pévèle
- You define project requirements and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- You ensure infrastructure and operational standards are met with a focus on industrial efficiency.
- You follow up on construction, equipment procurement, and operational setup.
Transformation of an industrial building into a new office building in Cappelle-en-Pévèle
- You oversee architectural and technical design phases.
- You manage contractors, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- You ensure proper adaptation to operational needs.
Definition of Site Occupation & Development Plan for UBS in Tienen, Belgium
- You gather operational and strategic requirements from stakeholders.
- You develop project definition, space planning, and an execution roadmap.
- You oversee implementation and ensure successful site transformation.
Project Management & Coordination
- You assist in defining project objectives, scope, and key deliverables for each of the three assigned projects.
- You ensure alignment between project stakeholders.
- You monitor project progress and anticipate risks.
- You ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and financial constraints.
Reporting & Communication
- You become a part of the Strategic Portfolio Management Team of UBS (consisting of two colleagues).
- You provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders.
- You organize and participate in project steering committees and coordination meetings.
- You ensure clear documentation and archiving of project progress.
Your profile
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
- You have 5 to 10 years of experience in project ownership assistance, project management, or construction/renovation projects.
- You have in-depth knowledge of infrastructure or industrial project management, construction regulations, and space planning.
- You have experience in working within multi-stakeholder environments and cross-border projects.
- You have excellent project management and organizational skills.
- You have great problem-solving skills and a risk management mindset.
- You have effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You're able to work independently while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- You're flexible to travel between project sites in France and Belgium regularly.
- You're fluent in French and English
