dsm-firmenich is currently seeking a senior in-house counsel to join its commercial legal team (CL) supporting the Perfumery and Beauty Business Unit (P&B) globally. The position is based in France (Paris or Dax). The successful candidate will report to Vice President – Head of Legal P&B and will independently support complex transactions/projects across P&B business / functions on a global level, as well as support day to day activities, such as contracts, compliance, legal opinions and other tasks as directed.10 years professional experience in a similar role. French proficiency required.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Specialization and expertise to support strategic projects, requiring in-depth knowledge of the subject matter such as intellectual property, employment law, administrative law, litigation, competition law, Human Rights 
  • Review, draft, analyze, and negotiate a range of commercial transactions and related agreements, such as sales, distribution, tolling/subcontracting, sourcing agreements, sustainability collaborations.
  • Provide legal support to Firmenich’s P&B Business in the EMEA region and globally as required
  • Take care of corporate secretarial support for certain legal entities.
  • Legal research.
  • Project work with members of the P&B CL team and/or the Global CL team, and/or cross functional.
  • Supports P&B CL team with their activities as required and any other matters as per instruction of Senior Management

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including optimism, diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels, customers and business partners to work effectively in a cross-functional/multi-cultural global teams.
