JOB PURPOSE
Burberry are recruiting for a Showroom and Facilities Manager to lead operations in our beautiful Paris showroom based on the iconic Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Delivering all key commercial moments across retail and wholesale buying seasons, you will play a key role in delivering a best in class luxury experience across product, facilities and service for Burberry.
This is a showroom role with a difference, and needs a luxury retail expert with exceptional people management skills and a passion for detail and standards. You will be responsible for three key areas – market campaign execution; office, showroom and facilities management; and management and leadership of the showroom team.
Market execution
- Management of Paris market, delivering an operationally excellent and elevated client experience and collection presentations in alignment with the London Showroom Manager
- Attending all cross-functional pre-market meetings (Merchandising, Product Development and Design) to agree and support product presentations
- Set-up of the Paris Showroom in partnership with Visual Merchandising, organising crew and movement of furniture and props
- Lead floor operations during market across internal retail days and the global wholesale market, ensuring a world class luxury customer service is provided to all Burberry customers and stakeholders
Office, Showroom and Facilities Management
- Overall responsibility for all workplace services matters: cleaning, office equipment, office supplies, parking access, office repairs & maintenance. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and building policies, training and equipment testing
- Oversee the delivery of showroom space re-design and upgrades, working with suppliers and internal teams as required
- Managing the front of house team, ensuring consistently high levels of service
- Acting as the key point of contact for all visitors to the Paris office and overseeing the onboarding of all new team members within Paris Head Office teams
Leadership
- Management of the Paris Showroom team, coaching, delegating and providing feedback to support development
- Aligning with the London Showroom to ensure best practice and processes are shared
- Recruiting of temporary Showroom Assistants in Paris, and leading on training to Burberry Standards
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the luxury market, from a retail and/or wholesale perspective, coupled with a passionate for product/the luxury industry
- Good understanding of the planning and merchandising critical path, including market calendars
- Proven experience with managing, coaching and developing teams, able to motivate and inspire
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels, with fluency in both English and French (verbal and written)
- Experience in project/programme management, or in an operational capacity working to deadlines and targets
- Management of large budgets and tracking and reporting against targets
- Experience in Health & Safety process management, ensuring the workplace is in-line with current rules and regulations, providing teams with safe working conditions
- Outstanding attention to detail with an ‘even better if’ mentality
- Resilience and adaptability when working under pressure; deadline adherence and time management skills
- Flexibility essential (work weekends and/or early late shifts when required)
