Job Description

The Economic Performance and Analytics Senior Manager will support the Head of Capital Performance and Analytic teams in managing on a day to day basis the team members that contributes to building the quarterly performance analytics in the IFRS 17 and S2 frameworks, ensuring connection & consistency between the two processes and messages, shaping messages towards a senior management audience, in coordination with other internal stakeholders (esp. FP&A, Reserving, Investor Relations, Risk management). He/she will also work in close collaboration with the other members of the Capital Performance and Analytics team to provide support on the analyses performed (retrospective and prospective) and maintain global consistency of analytics across the team.

This role will play a pivotal part in helping to shape our financial communication - external and internal - in link with our economic strategy and trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct, together with the team, in-depth quarterly economic performance analysis covering all aspects of the business (L&H, P&C & non-insurance), ensuring that it is consistent between the frameworks in use by the Group (currently IFRS 17, Solvency 2, EVC). This supports timely our results landing/closing internal processes and our external communications/publications.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing analytics methodologies (on both IFRS 17 and S2) to allow to answer senior management needs in terms of understanding performance, to support the ability to monitor our strategic targets (e.g EV growth at constant IR and FX) and to build consistency in the analysis across frameworks.
  • Support the overall analytics framework developed by the Economic & Capital Performance and Analytics team, aiming at developing a comprehensive view covering retrospective, current & prospective analysis of performance - enhancing capability for management to take data driven decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships with other internal stakeholders (esp. FP&A, Reserving, Investor Relations, Risk Management) to support the analyses performed by the team and ensure overall consistency of messaging.
  • Support the presentation of economic performance related findings and recommendations to senior executives, Comex, and other internal/external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner - helping bring out the relevant items needed for understanding and/or steering key drivers of SCOR economic performance.
  • Involvement in other projects and/or duties as assigned by the Head of Economic Performance and Analytics

Team Management (indirect):
  • Manage on a day to day basis other team members that contribute to the performance analytics processes - to support the Head of Economic & Capital Performance and Analytics - helping them bring out the relevant information for addressing senior stakeholders & ensuring overall consistency of the messages.


Qualifications

Required experience & competencies
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in insurance or broader financial services
  • Deep understanding of business and financial impact of operational decisions
  • Extensive knowledge of finance reporting systems and economic frameworks

  • Investor Relations (preferred)

Required Education
  • Must be a fellow of a relevant Actuarial Society and possess a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field or have equivalent work experience.
