Genesis Hospitality Management is searching for a Chief Financial Officer in their Head Office in Brandon, Manitoba. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience completing full-cycle accounting and be familiar with consolidated financial statements. A Chartered Professional Accountant Designation is required. Successful applicants will oversee the accounting team and coordinate with ownership. Travel will be required periodically.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Through the guidance of the Executive President, the Chief Financial Officer's responsibilities include:
-Oversee the completion of the monthly financial statements for each property and coordinate with ownership for distribution.
-Oversee A/R, A/P and Inventory controls.
-Completion of the Consolidated Financial Statements of Genesis.
-Assisting and training other accounting team members as needed.
-Preparation of the budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
-Coordinate the preparation of regular reporting to ownership.
-Support month-end and year-end close process and coordination with external auditors.
-Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
-Review of contracts and coordination with legal.
-Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen Internal controls.
-Coordinate with financial institutions, insurance companies and CRA.
-Assisting in system conversions and future acquisitions.
