Position Overview:
As a Methods Engineer, you'll play a key role in defining and implementing manufacturing processes to ensure production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This position demands a mix of technical know-how, problem-solving skills, and a strategic approach to drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Identification and implementation of manufacturing methods aligned with industrial standards.
- Engagement in the design-to-manufacturing process, including FMEA and control plan updates.
- Validation of process capability for production consistency.
- Assistance in designing and acquiring necessary resources for assembly, integration, and testing.
- Development of manufacturing documentation, including routings, tools, and integration/test instructions.
- Contribution to workstation design considering flow constraints, ergonomics, and risk management.
- Standardizing methods and work instructions to reduce production variability.
- Optimizing production processes and flows to enhance efficiency.
- Training and supporting production teams during the introduction of new products/processes.
- Driving continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Lead Time, and Cost metrics.
- Updating manufacturing documentation as products/processes evolve.
Preferred Experience:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement or related roles in a technical manufacturing setup.
- Sound knowledge of processes like laser welding, brazing, and mechanical integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process enhancements.
- Project management abilities, including task prioritization and leading cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP tools, and process simulation software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, safety standards, and ergonomic principles.
- Proficiency in English and French (minimum B2 level).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools and Industry 4.0 concepts.
