Technical Lead System Administrator

Job Summary:

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise.
  • Liaise with country management to set priorities and manage workload.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure optimal system availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and implement system upgrades, enhancements, and new technologies to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and enforce system administration policies, procedures, and standards to ensure adherence to security protocols, data protection, and compliance regulations.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system administration and make recommendations for their adoption.
  • Lead and participate in systemrelated projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to endusers, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.

What You Will Need:

Basics:

- _Bachelor's degree in Computer Science_ _, Information Technology, or a related field_. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, RHCE) are a plus.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with crossfunctional teams, leadership and endusers.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar technical leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of system administration, including server and network infrastructure, virtualization, storage systems, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and task optimization.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, data protection, and compliance regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef) is desirable.
