COMPANY: Impact driven international start-up temporarily based in Paris (moving to Frankfurt soon) offering a solution to replace plastic in packaging through an innovative plastic free coating

TEAM: 11 employees globally - multicultural and passionate team – 3 researchers in the French lab – operations and team in China and in the USA

PROJECT: Greentech Innovation – Patented Chemical Technology – Chemistry - Artificial intelligence – Manufacturing - Scale-up production – Sustainability – Plastic free – fully biodegradable and recyclable solutions – Entrepreneurship – CPG


YOUR ROLE TO PLAY

Within a multicultural and passionate team, you will contribute to making the world of packaging a more sustainable and environmentally friendly place. Working closely with the Founder and CEO, who is also the inventor of the technology behind the company, to deliver the next generation of packaging material for the world's largest Consumer Goods companies (Starbucks, Nestle, McDonald, etc.), you will oversee product development, as well as build and manage the scientific team.


Your role in this project will be:

1. Visionary Innovator : Drive groundbreaking research and transformative innovation in material science, redefining industry standards and setting new benchmarks for sustainable technology.

2. Strategic Partner : Collaborate intimately with the CEO to craft a visionary scientific roadmap, identifying ambitious targets and pioneering milestones that propel the company to the forefront of the industry

3. Customer-Centric Creator : Engineer bespoke, cutting-edge product formulations that not only meet but anticipate and exceed customer needs, ensuring the company remains synonymous with excellence and ingenuity

4. Global Team Leader: Inspire and lead a diverse, world-class team of chemists and material scientists, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and relentless pursuit of excellence through innovative methodologies across our 2 research laboratories, soon-to-be 3

5. Data-Driven Scientist : Harness the power of data in collaboration with the Data team, utilizing advanced analytics to drive research insights, optimize processes, and fuel scientific breakthroughs

6. Ambassador of Knowledge : Engage in high-impact research with esteemed academic partners, author influential papers, and deliver compelling technical reports, while also representing the company at key industry events and client meetings worldwide.


YOUR PROFILE

YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial chemical processes, proven track record of deliverables • Knowledge or previous experience in sol-gel is very important

• Knowledge or previous experience in cellulosic materials / packaging is a huge plus

YOUR SKILLS

• Expert in designing experiments and structuring data to drive innovation and insights

• Proven ability to lead, monitor, and re-align projects and strategic initiatives within a dynamic and complex environment

• Exceptional skills in building and leading strong teams, as well as fostering scientific partnerships with research centers and other key contributors

• Ability to supervise and develop both direct and indirect staff across various disciplines to achieve common goals

• Ability to structure and convey complex information effectively to a diverse range of audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement

• Bilingual in English with significant international mindset. Proficiency in French, Mandarin, or another European language is a valuable asset
