Overview:
We are looking for a skilled UC Engineer to join our operations team for a 12-month contract. This role is focused on the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production voice systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager/CUCM, SIP, and voice systems, with a strong focus on production support and adherence to best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support production voice systems, ensuring stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cisco Call Manager and SIP technologies.
- Implement and manage changes in production systems as part of the BAU (Business As Usual) operations.
- Provide on-call support for voice system issues and incidents.
- Follow engineering documentation and guidelines to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and manage voice recording systems, including familiarity with SIP REC technology.
- Assist in the integration and management of ecosystem products and provisioning systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team for knowledge transfer and implementation of new solutions.
- Adhere to Cisco best practices in all operational activities.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in voice engineering and support.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager and SIP technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with message exchanges between SIP devices and routers.
- Familiarity with voice recording systems and SIP REC tech is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle SBC and ECB components is an advantage.
- Experience with ecosystem components and provisioning systems like Kurmi is beneficial.
- Ability to manage production systems and handle on-call support.
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English.
