Senior Data Architect / Consultant


For one of my leading clients focused in data advisory, we are looking for an experienced Data Architect / Consultant to join their dynamic team based in an affluent and upscale suburb west of Paris.


My client is renowned by industry experts for its commitment to empowering its clients in establishing robust data frameworks. Offering bespoke solutions span from fostering cultural shifts and technological empowerment to ensuring data consistency, security, and precision. With expertise in Data Advisory, Architecture, Academy, and Green Data, as well as proficiency in implementing Platform Data solutions such as Data Preparation and Integration. My client caters to diverse clients across the world. Driven by core values, they strive for sustainable consulting services, leveraging innovation and pragmatism in their data-centric approach.


Role Overview:

Reporting to either the Data Advisory Manager or the Director of the Data Advisory Business Line, you will collaborate with clients on multifaceted missions. You will participate in pre-sales activities, response to calls for tenders and support and participate in internal projects related to the development of my clients business interests.


Commercial aspect:


Participate in pre-sales activities, response to calls for tenders and support, all of the entrusted activities are carried out in compliance with my clients quality level. Participate in internal projects related to the development of my clients business interests.


Management responsibilities:


  • Supervise and develop the skills of consultants within your scope.
  • Ensure the skills development of junior/confirmed consultants, coaching and monitoring


Data Architecture section:


Support audit or urbanization missions of data platforms and tools responding to the company's new challenges: definition of the scope, estimation of costs, planning and organization, promotion of the methodology.


  • Be responsible for the quality of project deliverables/documentation;
  • Lead meetings and write reports;
  • Support and advise the client in defining their data architectures;
  • Validate the company's expectations in terms of functionality and functional and non-functional coverage of the solutions;
  • Lead and arbitrate debates defining architectural orientations;
  • Conduct individual interviews with the various mission contacts for Coaching or Audit;
  • Project management: lead a project independently from start to finish under the supervision of your project director;
  • Definition of feedback, self-criticism and retrospectives of milestones.

In addition you will support a project to set up a “Data Academy” organization: definition of the scope, estimation of costs, planning and organization, promotion of the methodology.


Be responsible for the quality of project deliverables;

  • Lead meetings and write reports;
  • Support and advise the client in managing change in their organization to support implementation;
  • Validate the company's expectations in terms of acculturation and maturity around data;
  • Lead and arbitrate debates defining strategic orientations;
  • Conduct individual interviews with the various project stakeholders for Coaching or Audit;
  • Project management: lead a project independently from start to finish under the supervision of your project director;
  • Definition of feedback, self-criticism and retrospectives of milestones.
  • Data governance component:
  • Framework a governance initiative: identification of use cases, customer needs in terms of data governance, and the appropriate methodology;
  • Design and implement a data governance solution: glossary, business, metadata, processes, roles and responsibilities, lineage.
  • Define the roadmap to improve governance.


Your profile:


Required skills:

A Data Architect profile with a functional/technical background capable of:

  • Participate in pre-sales/proposals and the definition and audit of the architecture;
  • Prepare and lead various Workshop committees;
  • Support Architects and Data Advisors;
  • Have solid experience in enterprise architecture and consulting activities, be able to advise the best typical model according to needs.
  • Minimum of Bac+5 training within a major engineering or IT school, you have at least 5 years of experience in this type of role;
  • You have worked in the field of information management in the company, data governance, or the implementation of Data solutions (MDM, DQM, Data Catalog Data Science, Data Preparation);
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic, you like teamwork and you want to actively participate in the development of our company and the training of consultants. Your thirst for entrepreneurship and your desire to participate in our development will be determining elements;
  • Thanks to your good level of English, you will participate with ease in international missions;
  • You will work in a very motivating and friendly context and you will benefit from significant freedom over the missions you will have to accomplish.
