The candidate will work closely with operations leaders, technology teams and international finance teams. The person in this role will be directly responsible for decision support, controllership and finance for the largest cost area of the business. The role will involve ad-hoc analysis and special projects requiring detailed modeling to support the decision-making of senior leadership. You will help the operations to drive performance and build plans for the future.
The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadline among various teams; he/she will be a creative and analytical problem solver. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity driven by new launches and services make this role an exciting, interesting and challenging proposition.
Key Responsibilities: o Business partnering with the DSP Manager and DSP team to improve the business performance and optimize costs
o Partnering with operational teams to influence financial and operational productivity and mitigate risks
o Responsible for financial controlling and planning of last miles cost
o Monitoring last miles cost and providing variance analyses
o Supporting the decision making process with expertise and analysis
Skills/Experience:
o Demonstrable relevant finance/accounting experience
o Ability to think both analytically and strategically – to go beyond the numbers and to think logically about underlying business issues.
o Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis and problem solving
o Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
o Experience in logistics would be helpful. Experience in working in a fast-paced growth environment is essential.
o Advanced Excel user
o Exceptional communication skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSo Fluent in English
o BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical bias
o Expertise with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
