The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting commercial contracts, addressing compliance issues, and participating in business negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.



YOUR ROLE:

  • Provide legal support to the various internal departments :

Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts, including distributor agreements, employment contracts, and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with French and EU laws.

Legal Support for Operations: Work closely with internal teams to collect necessary documents and information, coordinate with external counsel, and support legal files managed in-house.


  • Work with other in-house counsels and outside counsels, as required :

Oversee and manage relationships with external lawyers across multiple domains, including labor law, corporate law, and GDPR.

Compliance and Data Protection: Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws, including handling all region-specific privacy matters.


  • Negotiate and draft complex transactional agreements


  • Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks and conflicts



WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in mainly commercial law, but also employment law, GDPR compliance, and corporate governance, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential to liaise effectively with both the local team and the HQ in Berlin.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage external lawyers and legal matters independently.
  • A Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent), with specialization in corporate, commercial, or data protection law preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple legal projects while ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.
