Industrial Project Scheduler
il y a 3 semaines
GravitHy in a nutshell
The iron and steel industry plays a key role in the European economy, generating around 300,000 direct jobs and 1.6 million indirect jobs, with an estimated annual added value of €82 billion. However, this industry remains heavily reliant on fossil fuels, emitting nearly 190 million tons of CO2 each year, which represents about 5% of the European Union's total CO2 emissions.
GravitHy is an innovative French company, born with the global ambition to decarbonize the steel industry. Our goal is to produce green, low-carbon direct reduced iron (DRI) on a large scale through the use of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. We plan to build, own, and operate our first green iron plant in southern France, with the intention of replicating this model across Europe and beyond.
The Industrial Project Scheduler will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and coordinating the various stages of our industrial project ensuring that deadlines are met, resources are optimally used, and objectives in terms of costs and quality are achieved. The role involves collaboration with production teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Creation and Management of Industrial Project Schedules:
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for all project activities (design, manufacturing, installation, etc.).
Ensure the feasibility of the schedule considering production capacities and technical constraints.
Plan the procurement of materials and components required for the project.
- Monitoring Project Progress:
Regularly track the progress of various phases of the industrial project.
Identify discrepancies between the schedule and actual progress, analyze the causes of delays, and propose adjustments.
Update schedules as needed based on project developments.
- Coordination with Stakeholders:
Work closely with technical teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and various departments (purchasing, logistics, production).
Ensure smooth communication between stakeholders to anticipate issues and synchronize activities.
Organize and lead project progress meetings to ensure alignment among teams.
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning:
Identify potential risks related to deadlines and production capacities.
Propose solutions to minimize the impact of unforeseen events on the overall project schedule.
Develop and implement contingency plans in case of schedule deviations or priority changes.
- Use of Scheduling Tools:
Utilize project scheduling software specific to industrial projects (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, ERP systems).
Ensure that all project members follow updates and use the scheduling tools effectively.
- Budget Tracking and Reporting:
Ensure alignment between the schedule and budget constraints.
Generate periodic reports on project progress, performance indicators, and any identified variances.
Provide regular updates to the industrial management team.
Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project scheduling and management software (MS Project, ERP systems).
- Understanding of industrial production processes and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of technical challenges and constraints in an industrial environment.
- Ability to anticipate risks and adjust schedules accordingly.
Behavioral Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in creating and managing schedules.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to make quick decisions in case of changes or unforeseen events.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in scheduling in an industrial environment.
- A project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) would be an asset.
Work Environment:
- Close collaboration with production teams, logistics departments, and subcontractors.
- Participation in regular project progress meetings.
What we offer:
We offer you the opportunity to contribute to the development of an ambitious project in a rapidly growing environment where everything is still to be built. This position provides prospects for learning and increased responsibilities in the short term. You will also have the chance to travel regularly, including to Marseille.
