Software Engineer

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, such as FinOps and product development, to design and implement solutions that drive business results. This role offers unique challenges for applying your technical expertise in a dynamic environment and contributing to the development of best practices within the industry through data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their workflows, systems and unit economics
- Conduct exploratory work and experiments to identify areas for improvement in resource utilization
- Analyze data to detect inefficiencies, anomalies and outliers that require attention
- Develop visualizations to communicate findings effectively to other stakeholders
- Become a subject matter expert on internal cost datasets and integrate them with revenue data
- Identify successful patterns or practices within the company and work to replicate these elsewhere
Who You Are:
- An Engineer with 4+ years of experience in data modeling and visualization using Business Intelligence tools like Metabase, Looker, Tableau or Superset
- Proficient in SQL, statistical modeling (e.g. using R) and machine learning fundamentals
- Familiarity with Data Lakes or Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Trino, Redshift, or BigQuery
- A clear, concise communicator that works well with others, able to distill complex technical concepts into understandable language
- Excited to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment and thrive on both autonomy and collaboration
- Comfortable with high-quality software engineering using languages such as Python, Scala, Go or R
Bonus Points:
- You have experience using the command line and Git
- You have some experience with Spark, Flink or Beam or similar big data processing frameworks
