We are looking for a “Chargé d ‘exploitation” as per French electrical norm NFC 18 510 for a position on the project base location.

Job purpose: Support the Wind Farm Commissioning Team by carrying out all tasks related to commissioning, including:


  • Monitor & coordinate Commissioning & operational activities for the overall project
  • Commissioning activities to comply with contract and project requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning, and cost
  • Zero harm HSE policy through deep involvement in HSE daily
  • Proactive, good coordination and communication between all parties and ensure that the process works effectively
  • Commissioning activities to demonstrate equipment and systems supplied by the Contractor provide the functionalities and operation requirements described in the Employer’s Requirements and the operation and maintenance plan
  • Report Commissioning progress and participate in Commissioning meetings
  • Ensure quality of Commissioning works and review of documentation
  • Communication with grid operator, across packages and various contractors
  • Windfarm production optimization at all times to max power production
  • Operational and well-managed control room
  • Coordination between Teams and contractors
  • Monitor HV/MV electrical operational activities to ensure safety
  • Implementation of technical departments' best practices for Commissioning scope
  • Collaboration with O&M Team to ensure conformance with Asset Operation requirements
  • Capture and transfer of experience during Commissioning into Asset Operations


General Responsibilities:

  • Interface to the national grid operator
  • Prepare, Review, and comment on PTW and RAMS
  • Act as the Electrical Safety Control Engineer (ESCE), responsible SAP for final decision on switching activities
  • Monitoring and authorizing all remote HV & MV switching operations on behalf of the project
  • Preparing cross-package switching protocols
  • Participation and preparation of Electrical Safety documents, processes and procedures
  • Communication of all outages and activities affecting the stakeholders
  • Coordinating Emergency Response with the stakeholders
  • Coordination with operators of other systems and interconnection points before carrying out switching
  • Coordinate and oversee all MV/HV switching operations
  • Monitor and operate Electrical equipment via SCADA systems (incl. signal testing)
  • Operations and control of the Wind Farm’s HV systems (225kV), MV systems (33kV)
  • Preparing method statements, switching protocols, and switching schedules
  • Monitoring and authorizing all remote switching operations on behalf of the project
  • Responsible for SCADA monitoring, the handling of alarms, and the identification of necessary measures
  • Operate the substation via SCADA
  • Active control during SIT
  • Coordinating with MC before and after switching operations
  • Monitoring of SCADA systems (operations)
  • Maintaining a daily log of operational activities
  • Handover and takeover of operational responsibility from Control Centre at the start and end of the shift (12h)
  • Prepare and lead authorization panels


Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Control Engineer and Senior Authorized Person up to 225kV.
  • Strong background in switching operations and electrical systems.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical networks and control & protection systems (C&P).
  • Experience in offshore wind farm commissioning or operations is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Flexible and able to work in an international team environment.
  • Proficient in English and French.
  • Ability to perform advanced tasks in MS Office.
