I've been exclusively assigned by a specialized Infrastructure advisory boutique based in Paris, to assist in the recruitment of an MD/Partner with sector expertise across Infrastructure, Industrials or Energy Transition. This boutique is deeply invested in energy transition, telecommunications advancements, transportation hubs, and emerging mobility trends.

Having forged successful partnerships with prominent corporations and sponsors in the Infrastructure sector, the boutique has positioned itself as the foremost advisor for infrastructure-related mandates in Paris. With ambitious expansion plans and substantial investment earmarked for the future, the boutique aims to establish itself as a premier advisor in the sector across Europe, and aims to transition from a single partner-led boutique, to a multi partner-led business.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Origination:

  • Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients, including corporate entities, private equity firms, institutional investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage existing networks and actively develop new contacts to generate leads and opportunities for the firm.
  • Lead outreach efforts to engage potential clients, articulate our value proposition, and secure mandates for investment banking services.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
  • Assess market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify areas of opportunity and competitive advantage.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to refine service offerings and enhance the firm's market positioning.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and industry contacts, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the delivery of high-quality advisory services and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams to coordinate resources and deliver integrated solutions tailored to client needs.

Deal Execution Support:

  • Collaborate with deal teams to assess potential transactions and develop compelling pitches and proposals for client engagements.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support throughout the deal execution process, including due diligence, negotiation, and transaction structuring.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and internal stakeholders to address issues and drive successful outcomes.

Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:

  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance visibility and build credibility within the investment banking community.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, articles, and presentations, to showcase the firm's expertise and differentiate our services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in investment banking, corporate finance, or related financial services roles, with a focus on business development and client relationship management.
  • Proven track record of successfully originating and executing complex transactions across Infrastructure, Industrials or Energy Transition.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Established network of contacts within the Infrastructure, Industrials or Energy Transition space.
