Job Overview:

As a Tax Compliance Manager (CDD - 1-year fixed-term contract), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's adherence to French tax laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team, providing guidance on tax-related matters, ensuring the accuracy of tax filings, and managing tax inspections. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in French GAAP and tax regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the bookkeeping and tax filing processes for our French operations.
  • Verify the accuracy and reasonability of tax declarations by reviewing the financial accountant’s work on account booking and tax calculations.
  • Provide expert guidance to the accounting team on French tax compliance and regulations.
  • Manage tax inspections, including gathering relevant documentation from systems like SAP, UPM, and OPERA, and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Maintain the company’s tax calendar, ensuring all filings are accurate and up to date with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in improving internal tax processes and reporting mechanisms to ensure compliance with current tax laws.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with French GAAP and tax regulations; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and the ability to review financial transactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Knowledge of French accounting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
