Business Development Manager – France


We are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager based in France. This exciting new opportunity will see the successful candidate managing in country, regional Wholesalers - Distributors and end users to raise awareness of the Viking Johnson brand and optimise sales and margin in line with targets.


Resilient with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, the Business Development Manager’s main responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement a sales strategy for defined territories, working with customers to deliver growth for each region.
  • Identify new opportunities and provide market intelligence to grow market share. • Support the customer with all sales activity within the given territories.
  • Pro-actively review performance of each customer to a defined cadence set against KPIs.
  • Respond to tender/customer requests.
  • Provide support to customers in relation to Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Provide technical information and training, enabling the customer to understand our products and their application.
  • Attend relevant trade shows as a representative of the Viking Johnson brand.


The ideal candidate will typically have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an external Sales role, have good knowledge of our industry sector and be willing to spend a significant amount of time travelling in country.


Excellent negotiation skills together with the ability to communicate fluently (both written and verbal) in both English and French are essential to this role.

Crane Building Services and Utilities (BS&U) is part of the Fluid Handling Division of Crane Co. founded in 1855, which is a global, multi-industry, New York Stock Exchange quoted company. We design, manufacture, package and market engineered flow control solutions for the HVAC and Utility sectors, with strong sales into key growth export markets.
