Digital & Data Innovation - Director of Digital Services Solution Unit H/F

Context

Nexans has initiated a major strategic orientation towards innovation to support its growth in value rather than in volume.

Within Corporate Innovation, Service and Growth Department, the Digital and Data Innovation Team oversees the development of new solutions leveraging on digital, analytics and AI technologies.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a result-driven Director to lead our Digital Services Solution Unit

Supervisor: to Direct report to Digital and Data Innovation Director

Management: Report of head of offer Management - Services Operations - Business Development - IoT Development and Industrialization.

Purpose

The Director of Digital Solution Unit is ultimately responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions and services, focusing on generating revenue and enhancing the overall value proposition for our customers.

Its expected impact is to drive growth, increase profitability, enrich customer experience, reduce environmental impact, and increase brands awareness.

Areas of responsability

1. Strategic Leadrership :

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Solution Unit to drive the creation of innovative digital services.
  • Align digital solutions with the company's overall business objectives and digital and data strategy.
  • Lead the strategic development and integration of IoT products into digital service offerings.

2. Profit and Loss Responsibility :
  • Manage the profit and loss (P&L) of the Solution Unit, ensuring revenue targets are met, and costs are effectively managed.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and improve profitability, including revenue from IoT products.
  • Oversee the Services Sales operations, including billing and support, ensuring effective revenue generation and customer satisfaction.

3. Product Development :
  • Oversee the ideation, design, and development of digital solutions and services.
  • Lead the design, development, and production of IoT products that complement our digital services.
  • Work closely with head of Offer Management to define IoT products and Services requirements and prioritize features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IoT product requirements and ensure alignment with digital service strategies.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality and reliable IoT products.
  • Drive innovation in IoT product development, exploring emerging technologies and trends.

4. IoT Product Production:
  • Establish and maintain effective production processes for IoT products.
  • Oversee manufacturing and production activities, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing partners to optimize production efficiency.
  • Implement quality control and testing procedures to ensure IoT product reliability.
  • Manage inventory and distribution to meet customer demands.

5. Services Sales Operations:
  • Oversee and optimize the Services Sales operations, including billing, support, and customer relationship management.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient billing processes, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead customer support teams, providing exceptional service and addressing customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Relationship Management Team to maintain and enhance customer relationships and satisfaction.

6. Business Growth:
  • Lead the Digital Services Business Development Team to identify growth opportunities, establish partnerships, and drive new business related to IoT products and digital services.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and new business models to maximize profitability for both IoT products and digital services.
  • Train and Support Local sales and market team to sell the related services and the related subscription,

6. Team Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals dedicated to digital solution development and IoT product creation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence in IoT product development.

7. Customer Focus:
  • Collaborate with the Customer Relationship Management BU Team to maintain and enhance customer relationships, gathering feedback and insights to improve digital services and IoT products.
  • Ensure that digital solutions and IoT products are aligned with customer expectations and satisfaction.

8. Data-Driven Decision-Making:
  • Collaborate with Data Organization to utilize data analytics and insights to inform product development, pricing, and business strategies for both digital services and IoT products.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and make data-driven decisions to optimize the Solution Unit's performance.

Profil :

You are :
  • Graduated Engineer, Master of Science Degree in computer science of Information system or Business School
  • 10+ years' experience in digital and IoT product management preferably in B2B environment
  • Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within a digital services or technology-focused organization.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in product development and digital service design.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English

  • Experience in project management and strong ability to orchestrate competencies and expertise in cross-functional team (UX, Data, Architecture, Marketing, Business Owner

It would be a plus if you have:
  • Experience with services sales operations
  • IoT Product design and manufacturing management.
  • Digital Customer design experience
  • Certification on an Agile Project Management Methodology
  • Experience with back-end and front-end programming languages.
  • Experience in digital transformation within B2B Industrial company.
  • Experience in Transversal collaboration within large scale company
