We provide insights to digital teams and contribute to make our in-store tool ecosystem better. We enable our internal users to have a stronger business impact and operational performance through the use of data and innovative solutions.

We are hiring a Senior BI Engineer for an internal position based in Paris or Lille.
Your Roles as Senior BI Engineer
  • Build industrialized BI dashboards to generate insights for Decathlon's Instore ecosystem such as store performance, efficiency, automation, experience, checkout and staffing.
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Product Managers, Data Managers to be able to qualify their needs and translate them into relevant BI reporting.
  • Proactively own the entire lifecycle of dashboards and closely collaborate with Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineers and Analytic Engineers for data visualization performance.
  • Work on the end-to-end documentation of the data visualization deliverables and maintenance practice.
  • Participate in Tableau project management for the Instore domain; mentor junior BI Engineer/Data Analyst and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills you'll need to bring
  • 3-7+ years of relevant industry experience with Tableau such as working in tech platform, consulting or a scaled retail environment
  • Experience with Agile methods
  • Background in both business and quantitative fields such as Business Intelligence, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering etc.
  • Speaking fluent English and French
  • Strong knowledge of SQL is a must; analytical knowledge is preferred

  • Experience with the DBT is a plus
  • Experience in Retail is bonus
